Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been spent on the Performance Improvement (PI) process without clearly demonstrated returns on investment.  This program will discuss actual ways of using the PI tools to increase revenues.  The discussion will center on reducing the cost of PI processes and converting data into meaningful information that can actually pay-off.

Content for the program will include the following:

• Specific examples of data sources you can use for little or no cost to the organization, but which can cover the full scope of services offered,

• Examples of easy ways to convert data into meaningful information with presentation techniques that quickly show the audience the message you are trying to convey,

• Concrete suggestions for using the information obtained from your existing data to demonstrate true savings projects with tools for calculating the actual value of those savings to the organization.

Target Audience: 

Target audience:  PI Directors and Coordinators, Case managers, Physician Chairs of PI Committees, Utilization Review Coordinators Discharge Planners, and Physician Advisors to Utilization Management and Utilization Review programs.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

1. Identify three inexpensive data sources that require almost no staff time for retrieval.

2. Convert existing data into valuable information.

3. Use PI information to identify projects that increase net revenues.
