This program explains how to convert the adversarial relationships of Utilization Review into a win-win Utilization Management approach supported by physicians.  The information included will allow you to immediately improve patient discharge planning and physician support of prompt discharges.

Content for the program will include the following:

• Review and prioritization of the seven critical categories of patient needs from the perspectives of patients, families, physicians, and professional staff,

• Techniques for meeting these seven needs thus overcoming discharge barriers and satisfying all of the concerned parties, and

• An insightful perspective for presenting how the acceleration of the patient’s discharge can increase the revenue of both the physician and the hospital without harming the patient.
