This program follows a typical patient through a hospital admission, illustrating the impact of the HIPAA Privacy Regulations upon hospital operations. Content for the program will include:

• An overview of HIPAA compliance deadlines

• An overview of penalties for non-compliance with the HIPAA Privacy Regulations

• A review of all major provisions of the HIPAA Privacy Regulations and an analysis of how hospital operations will be impacted by the regulations.

• A discussion of action steps to be taken now by hospital HIPAA compliance teams.
