Asbestos Awareness
Course Objective
To train employees exposed to airborne concentrations of asbestos at or above OSHA's action level and/or excursion limit to follow your company’s asbestos-related safety requirements.
Course Goals
Upon successful completion, trainees will demonstrate an understanding of the following topics, with respect to asbestos and asbestos-containing work sites:
- Asbestos bodily entry and health effects of exposure;
- The relationship between smoking and asbestos exposure
- Information on self-help smoking cessation programs
- The Permissible Exposure Limit and how monitoring is conducted
