Ms. Reavis' educational background includes a diploma in nursing, a
Bachelors degree in Health Care Administration, a Masters of Science in
Rehabilitation Counseling, and post graduate work in Rehabilitation
Counseling as well. Ms.
Reavis holds certifications in the field of Rehabilitation Counseling,
Case Management, as a National Certified Counselor, and is a Fellow of the
International Academy of Life Care Planners.
Ms. Reavis' vocational experience includes various hospital nursing
tenures including coronary care, cardiac surgery, intensive care,
hemodialysis and renal transplant. Since
1978, she has provided case management in a variety of private sector and
public sector settings, including developing a rehabilitative fee schedule
for the Department of Rehabilitative Services for the State of Virginia. In the private sector, she has provided rehabilitation
services across a broad spectrum, including provision of services for
employers, insurance companies, attorneys, structured settlement
companies, individuals, hospitals and physicians, and State and Federal
governments. In addition, Ms.
Reavis has served on the faculty of Medical College of Virginia/Virginia
Commonwealth University in the Department of Rehabilitation Counseling.
She has been a partner in the firm of Health Information Resources
since 1990, and provides case management as well as life care planning
services nationwide.
Ms. Reavis is active in the International Academy of Life Care
Planners as well as various other professional organizations.
She provides educational programs in the areas of case management
and life care planning, and served as chairman for the Standards Committee
for the development of the Standards of Practice for Life Care Planning.
