Cynthia E. Whitaker, RN, BSN, CCM was founder and President of RNS HealthCare Consultants, a case management company located in Sacramento, California.  After selling her company to key employees in 1999, she and her husband, Buzz, "retired" to the sunny beaches of Costa Rica where they enjoyed fishing, exploring the country, and learning how to prepare the wonderful Latin American traditional dishes.

They returned to the United States in late 2000 to build a log home in the Rocky Mountains of Montana.  There, Cynthia "unretired", founding C. Whitaker & Associates, a case management program design company that offers specialized consultation services to companies seeking URAC's Case Management Organization Accreditation.

In addition to her 16 years of case management experience, Cynthia E. Whitaker, RN, BSN, CCM,  was Vice Chair of URAC's Case Management Organization Standards Advisory Committee, President of Case Management Society of America from 1997-98, and a committee member/author of CMSA's Standards of Practice for Case Management.
