Portable Fire Extinguishers

The objective of Portable Fire Extinguisher training is to train employees in the safe and effective use of portable fire extinguishers in the workplace. We can provide your employees with either classroom or hands-on fire extinguisher training, or both. This training program is designed to satisfy, in whole or in part, the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.157(g)(1), (2), (3), and (4).

Upon successful completion of training, trainees will demonstrate an understanding of:

• Types of fires and the proper extinguisher for each type
• Hazards of using fire extinguishers
• How to use fire extinguishers
